This miracle of time weighs about 9 kg. The timepieces movement is a  complicated 8 day mechanical, featuring the complete navigation for the earth as it makes its long journey around the sun. This display timepiece is so advanced that  the earth actually rotates once on its own axis every 24 hours, while the moon travels round the earth in 29.5 days and also completes a full rotation around  its axis. The moon-phases that are visible to us from the earth are accurately reproduced in this complicated display 365 days of the year. If this wasn’t  already enough, the timepiece has the repeater function, that strikes the time out on the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and hour, via the 4 bells. This incredible mechanical  representation is all preserved under the hand blown crystal glass domed exhibition cover.
