BROWN'S "CELEBATED" INDIAN HERB BITTERS

Description

Up for auction is a RARE B-222 Brown's Celebated Indian Herb Bitters bottle in a medium to dark amber. This is the rare variant with the misspelled embossing of "CELEBATED." It is a very clean bottle with great glass clarity and good embossing. It does have a crude mouth with a ground lip, and as you can see in the pics, some shallow flaking off the side of the mouth. Also some top roughness is present, which I believe may have occurred during the grinding process and possibly from use.
There is also a grind mark on the Indian queen's dress over the "TED" on PATENTED which probably happened during the in making process where the maker got the bottle too close to the grinder in that spot. It  just adds more character!
The bottle is embossed with the wording "BROWN'S CELEBATED INDIAN HERB  BITTERS-" with "PATENTED  FEB 11 1868" on the back.
