Black Glass Dr. J. Hostetter's Stomach Bitters

Description

Offered for sale is a 9 ½-inch-tall medicine embossed with
“Dr. J. Hostetter’s / Stomach Bitters.”  Bottle
has been tumbled with polish only.
It has a drippy, sloping-collar applied top, very dark amber (black glass) color, orange-peel whittling, and an unknown base type.  Base center is out-of-round and glass is sunken in on one side.  Doesn’t look like a post-mold.  This may be some kind of pontil mark.  You be the judge!  T
here are no chips, cracks, or bruises and very few scratches.
