BITTERS BOTTLE BURLINGTON VT. 1880s DR BAXTERS MANDRAKE

Description

A pretty 12 sided aqua from Burlington, Vermont. Vertical embossing on 5 lines with nice bubbles and a nicely twisted neck and a double ringed lip. This is the Dr. Baxter’s Mandrake Bitters with the Lord Bros. Proprietor’s shown just above Burlington, Vt. On the last line. This seems just to have being missed being an open pontil as the indented base is rough to the touch. A very tiny edge chip at the outer edge of the base. The lip has a small piece of trash that was picked up when this old bottle was poured into its mold. Super clean and stands 6 and 3/8 inches tall and right about 2 and 1/8 inches at the base. Hope you may like to add this one to your bitters collection. This one is also more a nice blue color in its appearance Circa 1880s.
