    Description

This bottle sort of cabin-like is Doyle’s Hop Bitters 1872 which is embossed on all 4 sunken panels just below the neck. Each word and the date appear on each panel. This may be a little hard to see as these words are recessed in the panel but very nicely embossed. This one has a nice orangey-amber color and has 4 sunken panels in the main body and again just below the nicely applied lip circa 1880s. The front panel depicts the hops used with a leaf and seed design for lack of better description. Standing 9 and 1/2 inches tall and about 2 and 5/8 inches square. Notice the concave circular indented base has the mold number shown as “E 3” in bold print. This is from my collection and hope you may enjoy adding this to your collection. There are no cracks or chips and a beautiful old bitters bottle from the 1880s or possibly from the mid 1870s. Always open for offers on many old antique bottles I have for sale in this list and thanks for looking David.
