Description
ANTIQUE TIPPECANOE BITTERS BOTTLE 1880s.This is from my collection which I have had for many years. This happens to be one of my favorite figural bottles and was never buried so it is in beautiful condition. It stands 8 3/4 inches tall and right about 3 inches across the base. The color is light amber with a yellowish/orangey look. The Indian canoe can be seen in photo #3 and in contrast you can see the bark design with the embossed names below and above the canoe. Most collectors call the lip a mushroom lip and others call it a “pig snout” but either way it is an eagerly sought after bottle by many collectors. The indented base has the Pat date of Nov 20, 83 and Rochester N.Y. Notice photo #4 and you will see a couple of lines and this was due to being poured into its mold and it is NOT a crack, just made that way. This Tippecanoe is super clean with no chips or cracks and a Beauty and hope you may like to place this in your collection.
